Cranberry Green Onion Dip

As seen on Hardly Housewives

This year, my husband and I had seven family gatherings to attend to celebrate Christmas with all sides of our families. Yes, seven. While they were all enjoyable, by the time the last one rolled around, I was exhausted. I had hosted one of the seven events and had also done a lot of baking this year. Still, I needed something to bring to the last event- I never like to show up empty-handed. I really wanted something that was simple to put together.

This dip was perfect. It is SO simple. I think the only thing that would be simpler is to get a store bought dip, and with this dip being so easy and tasty, why on earth would you want to do that!?

This dip literally only takes minutes to put together. And, it was a huge hit! My mother-in-law actually wrote out the recipe and handed it out! While it is certainly appropriate for any type of event, it definitely was visually perfect for Christmas, with the red cranberries and green onions.

Ingredients:
8 ounces Cream Cheese  (I used reduced fat)
1/3 Cup Sour Cream   (I used reduced fat)
1/3 Cup Dried Cranberries
1/3 Cup Green Onions, chopped

Directions:
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the sour cream and beat into the cream cheese. Stir in the cranberries and green onions until well combined.

Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Serve with your favorite crackers.
