Parmesan Crostini

From Food Network
This is a quick, simple, and easy accompaniment to a meal.  It would even be a nice appetizer or snack.  Four ingredients, less than 20 minutes, and there you have it!  And it helps that they are tasty, too!

Pardon my blurry picture!

Ingredients:

1 French baguette, sliced into 24 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup olive oil
10 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup shaved or shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.  Place oven rack in the middle of the oven.

Heat the oil in a small skillet. Add the garlic and cook for 5 minutes or until garlic begins to brown. Remove from heat.

Lightly brush the garlic oil on the top and bottom of each slice of bread. Place the bread in a single layer on a sheet pan. Sprinkle each piece with cheese. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until bread browns over the top.  Serve immediately.

Yield: 24 slices
